Or always having trouble finding seats at 100AM mall’s food court?
Can’t think of a place to eat something nice to have team lunch/dinner?

Well, here is a “tried and tested” guide to 5 food places that are just around the corner for you and your taste buds to try! 

Did you know that Tanjong Pagar – Outram Park is now considered one of the hip foodie-go-to places in Singapore? The area is probably becoming one of the most thriving cafe scenes in Singapore. A lot of coffee shops and food places are blooming, great variety of cuisines next to each other, fantastic bars where you can chill-out most of the time, and neighbourhood eateries where people just come and hang out. Basically places where people just get together and escape for an hour or two from their busy work schedule.

Guess what? Titansoft resides along Tanjong Pagar – Outram Park area!


  1. The POPULUS Coffee & Food Co.

    Just along Neil Road, a newly-opened gastro-cafe started serving up contemporary progressive nosh and specialty coffees this mid-October 2015. Aside from pretty latte arts, The POPULUS Coffee & Food Co. also have a wide variety of all-day breakfast menu that caters down to all cafe hoppers. Upon entering the cafe, it will give you this industrial-chic vibe with wood finishing, industrial chrome lamps, cement floors and some funky Edison bulbs studded on the walls. This place is a perfect balance of relaxing ambiance, slow-hip music and bold, inventive food that pulls in office crowd who’s looking for a fresh cup of cuppa.

    It’s easy to walk by and miss this place but there is a cosy inexpensive neighbourhood eatery serving Korean cuisine around the area. Aside from the gourmet eateries, cafes and dessert shops, you’ll find authentic Korean home-cooked food couple of minutes away from Everton coffee shop here – Walnut Tree. From their signature dishes Kimbap, Kimchi Fried Rice, Kimchi Ramyeon, and Seafood Pancakes, this place is perfect if you’re looking for a quick Korean fix!

    Do you love avocados and up for some healthy and nutritious breakfast and lunch dishes? How about cold pressed juices, nut milks and organic food products? If you answered yes to both, then Guac & Co is the place for you! The name ‘Guac & Go’ was inspired by the term ‘grab & go’, aiming to be the place for CBD folks to get their healthy meals. And who says healthy food doesn’t taste good? Guac & Go’s not only super nutritious, their salads and wraps are also packed full of flavour from toppings such as Salmon, Smoked Duck, Roasted/Cajun Chicken and of course, bacon.

    Influenced by American vintage era, Roosevelt’s Diner & Bar is an urban all-day diner that offers hearty casual dining options, wines, spirits and cocktails all enclosed in a spacious and warm environment. From vintage Vespas on one side to rustic wooden tables, and the all-time favourite run-down brick walls to top it all, you’ll definitely have that good ‘ol American vibe once you are in the area. Their menu have artisan sandwiches, mac & cheese, burgers, fish and chips, pastas, great selection of gourmet mains and coffees and milkshakes to give you that full-on American classic experience.

    Berry Ricotta Hotcake [$19]

    A small cozy cafe along Kampong Bahru Rd’s shophouses lies this lovely indie and pretty place that serves superb coffees and home made ice cream to top off their perfect waffle and hotcakes. Strangers’ Reunion is home of the three-time and current Singapore National Barista Champion & Second runner-up at the World Latte Art Championships to satisfy your caffeine addiction. This place is not only for coffee-lovers because they also have off-the-top waffles, pizzas, brunch meals, sandwiches and hotcakes to pair up with their great coffees. Another good thing (in my opinion) about this place is there is no WiFi! Hence, it is an overall nice coffee joint to hang out and spend time with your friends and family to enjoy leisure time.

I’m sure you can tell we definitely find joy hunting down these places in the middle of nowhere!

These places usually give us a nice respite contrasting the busy, chaotic and crazy CBD work area. Going to places like this kinda slows things down.
